I aim to show up as authentically as possible in session so that you can do the same. I am endlessly patient and understanding because as a former preschool teacher and mama of four, I get it. You can feel free to laugh, cry, curse, or just take a moment to reflect in silence. My space is both loving and nonjudgmental because true healing and growth can only take place if you feel safe enough to show up as your raw, real self. I am both open and direct in session. You can trust me to gently challenge you as needed to help you shift out of fear or pain.
I believe the mission of a parent is twofold. Yes, you are here to nurture and love your children. But you cannot give from an empty cup. To love your children well, you must first learn how to nurture and love yourself. I look forward to helping you gain new insights, heal past wounds, learn new tools, and embrace your unique journey. It is possible to not just survive, but thrive, during this challenging season of your life.
THERAPUETIC APPROACH
I incorporate a wide range of therapeutic disciplines into my clinical practice including: narrative therapy, psychodynamic theory, attachment theory, cognitive behavioral therapy, internal family systems, solution focused therapy, mindfulness, and motivational interviewing.
What does all that mean? It means I look at how different relationships and life experiences have impacted you... and I pay particularly close attention to how you've made sense of your lived experiences. It also means I'm not a one trick pony. I will actively flex and adapt my approach in session until we find the right strategy to help you shift into the life you want.
EXPERIENCE
As a clinician I've worked with parents in a wide variety of roles. I have previously offered state mandated services, crisis based in-home therapy, school based counseling and outpatient therapy. I also have experience teaching cooperative preschool and supporting parents both inside and outside of the classroom. I have been most humbled by my own life experiences as a parent. I have firsthand experience raising neurodivergent children as well as twins :)

I am most joyful when I am either running or hiking outside in nature with my family. I love the water and the beauty of the Pacific Northwest. I enjoy cooking and home improvement projects. I absolutely adore animals, babies, and children, not necessarily in that order ;)
